The weapons themselves become a way of studying movement, distance, timing and body control within a traditional martial arts framework.
Since 1987, Survival Martial Arts Academy has provided martial arts training in Kidderminster and the Wyre Forest.
Kobudo forms part of that wider tradition. Students can explore traditional weapons alongside the academy's Jiu Jitsu training, developing skills that demand focus, discipline, precision and respect.
Whether studying the sword, staff or one of the traditional Okinawan weapons, the emphasis remains on learning the art properly — with control, patience and respect for its traditions.
